We find out in a week and a half if we are having a boy or a girl. We have a girls name chosen but are stuck on the boys name.

We already have a son named Ben (Benjamin). Which of these names is cutest and goes okay with Ben? The middle name is after my dad's so thats non-negotiable.

Samuel Richard (will go by Sam)

Henry Richard

Graham Richard

Thanks!

  1. i would go with samuel because i goes pretty well with ben(jamin)

if u dont mind me asking, what were u thinking for the girls name?

  2. Sam Richard  all the way. Ben is also a great name.

  3. I like Graham Richard best, but have always liked Henry too.  I wouldn't chose Samuel - only because Sam is a great nickname but the formal name just doesn't do anything for me.  Good luck.

  4. Congratulations!

Of the 3, I like Sam. It's cute, but that may be a problem. It's kind of hard for me to picture calling a grown man Sam. And for the other names, I have the opposite problem. I'm having a hard time calling a little boy Henry or Graham. Are you taking suggestions or are you set on picking from those 3?

    Good luck :)

edit: Since your husband likes the traditional names I suggest you choose the name that has the best initials as an alternative (in case your son doesn't like going by such a traditional name in school - kids can be SO mean).

Have you considered Richard as a first name? If so, that would be the best, in my opinion.

  5. I think Samuel Richard is a wonderful name. It totally fits better than Grahm and henry.

  6. I like Samuel Richard. Henry is too old, and Graham just doesn't seem to fit with Ben.

I wish you a happy and healthy Sammy Richard! The best of luck and happiness to you!

  7. Henry Richard

  9. Samuel Richard

    Ben and Sam

    Brilliant

    Two of my favorite names

    I love them

  10. That is tough.  I think Sam/Samuel goes best with Ben/Benjamin.  Those are both names on my list.  But Henry is also on my list.  It looks like Richard has some family significance, probably.  If it were a name that you would consider cutting, I'd suggest Samuel Henry.

My vote goes toward Samuel Richard.  If you have another boy someday, you can use Henry.   :)

  11. I loooove the names Samuel and Henry but Henry Richard has a better ring to it.

    Congratulations!

  12. Henry

  13. Henry Richard

I sounds more nice, preppared and professional,I LIKE it!!!

  14. Samuel Richard!

  15. Samuel Richard.

  16. i like the names..cody richard, zac richard, or andre richard

honestly the names listed sound the kind

you'd hear over the bingo winner's list- old man name.

go with more modern name. a name that your kid would love hearing over and over again.

  17. I like Samuel/Sam. Another 3 letter, "easy to write and say" type-of-name like Ben. And for both boys you will have the longer "formal" name (good for business) and the shorter less formal name that's good for family and friends.

  18. Samuel Richard

My cousins are called Ben and Sam and it just sounds really good lol. I think the others are cute but Samuel is my favourite.

    Hope this helps :)

  19. Samuel is too common

    But Graham is cute

I personally love the name Drake

  20. Graham Richard

  21. how bout jackson..i love that name!

    or mitchel

    or jake[my FAVORITE!!]

    or graham cracker.

    or white boy.

  22. Samuel Richard

  23. I REALLY LIKE HENRY!!!

sam could be for a girl or boy , which is why i don't like the name sam! Sam is also a really common name . . . so no!

graham reminds me of the last season of the bachelorette!!

HENRY ROCKS!!! btw i really like the name Ben too!

  24. Honestly, I am not a fan of any of those names. But if I absolutely had to choose one of the three, I'd pick Henry Richard. These names sound a little like nerdy names though.. sorry.
