HELP Xbox live account Problem HELP

A while ago i had an xbox live account, then i cancelled it for about a year, now im planing on getting it back, i want to use the same name and keep the gamer score, how do i sign back up, when i try to call i just have to talk to that stupid max robot, and there is nothing about recovering an account on the xbox website, when i press recover account on the xbox it want me to enter the windows live id i entered to set it up years ago, i dont remember that c**p, so how am i supposed to set it back up?

i had the same problem... i just chose another gamer ID because I couldn't remember the phone number I had from the 3 years before and I also had a new credit card because I lost the one used to sign up the first time around.. so MS was no help.. choose a new ID

if your using the same credit card, i think u can call give them ur credit card, and then recover it
