  1. o can take dog food put it in a bowl and mix it with water and apple sauce it will need fed every 30 minutes

  2. I have done this a couple times.  I used bread watered down, and hand feeding formula.  Keep it warm and secure

  3. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.   You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it.  If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest.  Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched.  If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival.  Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.  Look for a rehab here:

  4. You can try to locate the nest and replace it.

of if you feed it ... you need to buy baby food./ meat variety.

then water it down and use a dropper or large tweezers to feed baby.

This is a LOT of work so I would try to find the nest first.

  5. Depending on the type of bird, the mother may have culled it from the nest. Sometimes parents will ostracise a sick or weak bird and literally kick it out of it's nest.

Baby birds that are not precocial are near impossible to rear by hand unless you're experienced at it.

They are fed pre-digested regurgitated food out of it's parent's bellies. It will not know what to do with anything coming out of your hand.

If it will not eat seed, or crumbs on it's own and/or seems weak and sickly and does not seem to improve within 24 hours, you should euthanize it or put it back where you found it or else you are only prolonging it's suffering.

  6. go to petco or something have it checked out make sure its not carrying any decease

  7. Take it to a vet and have it checked out. You can take care of this bird. My mom has told me stories of my grandmother when she would take in baby or injured birds and would house them until they were able to live on their own. She would feed them bread and water. But this was about 30 years ago, so I think your better off buying bird food and a water bottle like what small animals drink out of. Be careful because many birds carry dieases like West Nile and many more. Once the bird learns how to fly it can live on its own.

  8. well you should just let it go. It will be the most comfortable thing for that bird. That once happened to me and i just gave it some water left and left it outside. Soon it was back to normal. But if you are concerned why not borrow a bird book or go to the vet.
