  1. Make sure your computer is not downloading any Windows updates or anything else at the time you are watching you tube.

I think my DSL is basic but my download rate is at 1500K is yours correct?

do this:  press Start button and then RUN: and then type CMD and then hit enter a black screen comes up

Then type : ipconfig  then hit enter then you will see a list

look for the line that says : DEFAULT GATEWAY and write the number infront of it (should look something like this 192.144.1.252) and write the same number (with the dots between it) in your IE or Firefox address bar and hit enter.

Doing this it will take you to your Modem setup screen, try to restart your modem from that page once all the lights become active, close all the internet explorer or fire fox pages and run them again and test your YouTube movies.

    Hope this helps

  2. i had a similar problem. at&t office is swamped. they have so many customers and not enough supply to support everyone, so occasionally somebody gets cut off. i recomend switching an internet provider

  3. You probably need a new modem. Your default gateway is 192.168.1.254 unless you have a router. if you're going to reset your modem, make sure you know your username and password. you can go to support.att.net and it has a place you can type your problem and it will tell you what to do.
