  1. For the Data Connection Refused message you will need to get a BlackBerry Data Plan before that goes away. Without one, it will continue to say that at the top.

As for ringtones and other media, the 8700c is not really a media-centric phone. I would have recommended you go with a newer BlackBerry device that supports removable memory (88xx series, 81xx series or 83xx series).

If you do want to add ringtones to the device (since you don't have a data plan and can't e-mail them to yourself) you will need to upgrade to OS v4.2 or higher first. Then you can install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager v4.2 or higher WITH the Media Manager module. With the Media Manager module you will be able to transfer ringtones to the BlackBerry.

Now you won't want to add too many to the device, maybe 1-3 maximum. This is because the files sit in main memory and having too many will take away from the main memory.

  2. 8700c. Why Why Why... That's over 1 1/2 years. The curve is newer and thats old now too. you should've had patience and got the BLACKBERRY BOLD to be hip. But that was your choice.

To get ring tones connect phone to pc then drag drop files to the specified folder from either Limewire/Itunes/Winamp or w/e you use.

You cant have it stop because it is

Bluetooth go on blackberry.com click support and it has step by step guides.
