HI! i got my nose peirced today (tuesday) with a piercing gun, (now i know thats bad.) and the lady told me that since this stud is so big i can replace it in 24 hours with this other smaller one i bought. i was wondering if thats true. she also has her nose pierced so i sorta trust her...... should i change it!? btw, the one im going to use is an actual nose stud. really tiny. but it was only $2, its supposedly sterling silver though

  1. not if you don't want it to get infected. and even if it doesnt, itl probably hurt like h**l 'cause its practically like sticking something in an open wound. wait for around 1 to 2 months before you change it. if you change it now it might get all yucky and you'd probly hafta wait for another few months before the infection goes away.

  2. sweetie, noo. yoou haave too waait 4 weeks. no joke.

  3. omg, no don't because i when i got my piercing done..i got it with a gun too the guy told me to keep the ring in for about 6weeks and i only kept it on for like 3weeks and i changed it and now i have a big red bump beside my nose piercing and i got it checked by a doctor and he just gave me a water kinda thing, and today i got it checked again frum some other professional and he said that i would have to close my piercing because i didn't take a good care of it, and then when it's heled properly he said that i should go to him and he'll do my piercing again. so what i'm saying is that you should wait for about 4-6 weeks. OH AND ALSO don't put a 2$ or fake jewlry in. it's gunna get infected like mine. put a. gold one in

    BEST OF LUCK.

  4. You made a mistake getting it done wherever you got it done, that person doesn't know anything about it at all, I wouldn't trust her about it. You are SUPPOSED too wait six weeks to put anything else in it, I have had to put a retainer in mine for work and did so after only two weeks. If you ARE going to change your stud soon, know how to do it because it can close up FAST, and the two dollar stud you bought, I can imagine is the kind without the curve but that little ball on the end? Yeah, if it's that kind, that will HURT LIKE h**l to put in now or even a few months from now. I've had my nortils peirced for over five years now and I can't wear jewelry like that because it still hurts them to put it in or take it out. Regardless of the shape of the jewelry, if it was only $2, I would reccommend NOT putting it in there for at least six months, it is not made out of a good material and could cause an infection. If you absolutley HAVE to change it soon, you need to go to a REAL peircing and tatoo parlor and buy a stud made out of surgical steel and maybe even ask the guy there to put it in for you. So, to sum it up, try not to change it for six weeks, if you HAVE to, do NOT put in the one you bought, you need to get a surgical steel stud at an actual piecing/tatoo parlor.

  5. Well for one, yea your right, piercing guns are reali bad. And I don't know. It sounds like you maybe didn't go to the greatest place to get it pierced. But anyways, I also have my nose pierced, and the guy used a hallow needle and told the the healing time was like 2 months. So idk, I think you shud maybe call a different piercing place and ask them what they think about that. New piercings can close up in a matter of seconds, and it sucks reali bad when it does. So I think that you shud wait until your piercing feels like it's healed, then buy a not so cheap nose stud, then switch it. But I think you shud call another piercing studio and ask them what they think about it.
