I have already primed, 4 coats to get rid of a redish color..

but certin spots have permanant marker that keep showing through.

how do i cover these spots? i heard KILZ latex primer is good for covering, but will it be okay to just do the certin areas with this primer?

I did use a latex primer to begin with, but just a cheap kind.

what can i do to cover these spots.. even though they are already primed over.??

thanks for any help!!

  1. I'm going with Killz this stuff works - When i moved into my condo there was some mold spots under the sink and i painted them and i have not had any other issues

  2. I actually had to spread a thin layer of ''mud'' (drywall compound) over the area to cover my marker spots. It was fast and easy.

  3. Kilz works well, it should be fine to cover just those portions of the wall, so long as you paint over the whole thing.

  4. Well, if you hadn't already done the primer, I would have said to first try rubbing it off with either a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, or a dry erase marker. I know that works on white boards~~if a permanent marker is accidentally used, cover it with dry erase and it takes the permanent marker right off.

Since you have primed already, get some Kilz primer, that should help. Also, depending on the color you plan to paint over the primer, you may have primed enough already.

    Good luck!
