  1. Teaching this class can be very difficult.  Keep the parents involved by teaching them how to safely get their swimmer in the water, show them how to get their infant underwater (hold at arm's length, blow in their face and then do a small dunk while pulling them in), always be cheerful, add in the basics (back floats and front floats), jumping in or sliding in from the side of the pool and the parent can add in a dunk if the kid is ready.  Do a couple songs as a group, wheels on the bus, hokey pokey, etc.  Mom's are dorky so as stupid as you feel doing it, the parents eat it up.  Good luck!

  2. I used to teach this.  Be loud and move quickly.  I always started by having the parents sit on the side next to the tot.  Then sing sing sing. This is the way we kick our feet, wet our hair ect.  On the back we sang twinkle twinkle, and turned over for motor boat motorboat.  do blowing bubbles, jumping in, sit dive

  3. well i don't approve but my dad just threw me in and made sure i didn't drown. it worked but i don't have a kid so...
