HELP! getting fillings tomorrow, will someone explain this to me?

I'm getting fillings in my teeth tomorrow, and I need someone to explain to me, step by step , the process and and how much it will hurt. Thanks

  1. the first part is the only part that will hurt. getting the numbing shot. and thats not a horrible pain, just like pokes in your cheek, if he's a very good dentist it won't hurt too bad at all. after that, you shouldn't feel anything. if you do at anytime, tell the dentist and he will give you another shot. they'll drill down into the tooth until they remove all of the cavity and any decay. then they'll fill it with whatever you choose to have for a filling, he'll ask you to bite down, and he'll shape the filling to fit your bite. then you're done. don't worry, its not painful after. and it shouldn't take too long either.  


  2. 1. deaden tour gums with liquid antistatic

    2. shot to deaden more (that's why the liquid junk-so you don't feel the shot.

    3. The dentist will drill out the cavity--not much to that-goes quick you won't feel it but you'll hear the high pitch sound it makes.

    4.the dds will put the filling in the little hole he made and you're good to go.
