hi guys, im going into gr. 11 and need to choose what courses i want to take. i go to a catholic school and need help deciding on the courses that i want. i want to go into sciences preferably something in medical and plan to take life sciences in either u of t, mcmaster or other good univ.

*ENGLISH

*MATH

*RELIGION

*BIOLOGY

*CHEMISTRY but not physics b/c i took it during summer

thats 5 courses but i need 3 more, im thinking of,

*ART

*MEDIA ARTS (photoshop, etc)

*ACCOUNTING

*ANTHPOLOY-SOCIOLOGY-PSYCOLOGY - this is 1course

*ADV. FUNCTIONS (gr.12 math)

*GR.12 RELIGION (to get it over with so i wont have to take in g.12)

im interest in these 5 courses but i dont know which to take

-i enjoy art and media arts but im afraid of the home work load

-accounting was just recommended by one of family friends but i dnt know what good it'll do me

-same with anthropology

-adv. functions and gr. 12 religion are just to get it over with so that i have more space and options in gr. 12

i would like to know which of these you would recommend considering

homwork load, exams, and the difficulty of the course or other suggestions

i want to know which courses would let me have the best chances of getting accepted into good univ. because i kno they dont only look at the sciences

thank you, sorry i wrote too much

  1. Learning about psychology will help you with a medical career, so I'd recommend that course. Math would be a good idea IF you'll take another math class next year. The more you take in high school, the less you'll have to take at university.

If you truly want to take art, take it. If not, take the religion class since you need it anyway. You could always take art in 12th grade if you decide you want to.
