HELP - has my guinea pig made me sick?

Question

before i ask the question heres some info...

i took my g.pig to the vet due to her losing hair.

i found out that she has mites or ring worms, the vet told me that humans can catch it, or have side effects from it.

ive never had a problem with my skin apart from a few pimples.

ive always been lucky to have had pretty prefect skin,

never oily never dry.

i havent changed anything ive been doing. but..

ive notices on one of my eye lids, to my eye brow and a little bit under the eye, my skin seems to peeling and all dry and YUCK!

but only there.

im constantly Close to my g.pig.

could this be a sign that i may have caught something she has in human form? and if so is it bad?

or is it just my perfect skin luck gone bad ?

Ringworm is contagious. Mites are not though sometimes you get a allergic rash.

It sounds like it could be ringworm.  If you are handling your piggy and not washing your hands they you could have caught his ringworm.  Animals can give people ringworm.  There are over the counter ointments that you can use.  You would use them twice a day for a month.

well first drop ur guineapig of at the vet then see ur docters because ur vet may either treat it or give u some thing to treat it  but see ur docter to see if he can treat it

It sounds like you couldve caught something I heard mites can get onto people Plus ringworm is definitely contageous I hope you got your g pig taken care of though You dont want him to be sick Cause it sounds like you care about him a lot But theres stuff over the counter you can get for that also try some antibiotic ointment That should help If its not ringworm or anything like that Itll definitely take care of the dry skin situation

If it is red and circular it could be ringworm. I got it from a rat at my work (petsmart). If it is ringworm use lotramin ultra. it works really good.
