  1. Get some posters of things you like. Get a colorful bedspread and some pillows to cheer you up. A plant on the window sill is nice too. Start there and add. You could always add some Christmas lights for fun.

  2. Hi,

At Home Depot, Lowes,Jc Penny's, Walmart, Target they wall decals that you can remove when you leave and they won't hurt the walls.  I have seen nascar's, Baseball, Foot ball stuff just about anything you could be interested in.  You can also take a colorful quilt or blanket, pillows, a clock.  You will probably need some type of foot locker to put books, paper, stuff to draw, puzzles, deck of cards, games whatever you like to do you can keep in it.  Take a few photo's in frames of your family and friends to sit around.  You could bring a small boom box or a portable cd player and headphones.

I've had alot of surgeries myself and it's always nice to bring plenty of things to keep you busy so you don't get too bored.  Don't forget to take a phone book with your family and friends phone numbers so you can call people when you want to.

There are crafts like belt kits where you can make a leather belt for yourself or to give to someone later.  If you like art you could get a model to paint or a paint by numbers that's cool that you can hang in your room at home when you get back.

Time will go by so fast if you stay busy so I wish you all the best and I know your going to do fine.

  3. Well, to make you feel at home, you should put up pictures. Have family, friends, and places you have been up on the wall as a colage. They can't object to tape! Then use fabrick to your advantage. Get a comforter you really LOVE!!(I put some links) Or just use the one from home. Then get some really soft pillows(I put a link) to surround yourself in. Get a soft chair(there is a link below), and a new rug(I put a link for this too!). On the desk put more pictures of family and friends in cute frames, and some cute boxes with patterns(links at the bottem) for storage. You don't need to add any major pieces. Just improve your space. You can put fabrick over the curitans, or make a little valence. Pictures will definetly break up the white walls. Just make sure that everything you do add (pillows, blankets, fabrick) is really bright. Here are some links of some things.
