HELP!!!!!!!!! i think im fallin for my best friend?

me and my best friend has been friends since kindergarten. i like him (he doesn't know) and i want him badly to like me.we have the same personality. i like rock and metal. and so does he.i just want to know how i can get him to like me without him running away,and stop our long term friend ship!!!!!!!!!

Tricky one.  There's no sure thing here so maybe you'll just have to blurt it out and see what happens.  It shouldn't change anything on his part if he doesn't want you that way.  But does it change YOU if he doesn't?  Will you run away?  I think friends can ask each other these sort of things.  Crikey, if you both like the same things etc you should be asking.  Boys are sometimes a bit slow off the mark in affairs of the heart.  I know that one from personal experience!  Good luck.
