my bestfriend's name is matt. we are the same age. i hangout with him almost everyday. i am in love with him. his gf and him broke up about a month ago and they might get back together. latley he has been:

hugging me and holding me

hanging out with me almost every day

he met my mom

he stares at me a lot

tells me he will always be their for me

he grabbed my butt

gets jeaous when im around guys

tells me everything

drives home at night when we hangout b/c i cant see at night that well

tells me ill be safe with him and nothing bad will ever happen to me

teases me

shows off infront of me

put his arm around me

we almost dated we kissed too. we decided that we didnt want to date b/c we would ruin our friendship and we have a really good friendship...what should i do??

does he care and really like me??

i just dont know what to do. i have so many feelings for him. but im afraid that he will get back with his ex. what should i do??

I don't know, you both sound like an old married couple all ready!  He's sorely mistaken if he thinks your friendship would be ruined by dating you.  It only enhances a relationship if you both start out as friends.  You're right to be concerned though, he may go back to his ex and then your heart will be broken.  If you have the chance tell him you'll be there for him if he needs you but try and find the strength to tell him your feelings.  You've already crossed the line from friends to two people who have feelings for each other so there really is no going back is there?

Ok what you need to do is this:

Tell him how you feel about him

Ask him to go out with you (guys love it when you do that it makes them feel cared about)

Tell him that it wont ruin your friendship

You promise that it wont ruin your friendship

Just ask him to be your bf

Trust me it will work and you have to tell him that it wont ruin your friendship

well if hes a good friend- the relationship shouldnt ruin the friendship. u 2 have alot of things goin on. and since u love him like that, just go out with him and have fun. u 2 already act like u 2 go out anyway. idk...ask him if he really loves this other girl.  flirt with him more nd just ask him if he likes u more than a friend. and just date him.

i think that you should follow your heart and go for it coz that girl already had her chance, and even if it dont work out you shouldnt let that affect your friendship coz that is immature and you will neva know unless you try

I would be concerned about the butt grabbing thing, and the teasing.

He sounds like he might be abusive. I would stay away from him. He could be a liability.

My advice is to move in on him as fast as possible. He says he dont want to date because it might ruin your friendship. well looks to me like you wont have him to be a freind with after he gets a new gf becuase she is going to know you two are close and keep him as far from you as she can.
