HELP!!!! im waaay behind?

mk so im way behind in my running for xc and by aug 4th i need to be running at a 7.30 pace for 8 or 9 miles

i havent been able to run at all this summer due to drivers ed work and vacation [[which was in disney and we were in the park from when it opened till it closed so i couldnt run]] the first half of my summer is gone already

  1. mexican 1000s is the workout i have been doing, that is why i asked how much you should run 1000m in. you're a pretty smart girl, i do run a mile in 8.15, but this is what you have to do:

    run 1000 meters.

    rest 60s.

    do 6 reps. every week or two add 2 reps.

    this exercise keeps you in the lactate threshold. so you won't tire out. just don't rest too long or else the lactic acid has already seeped in! and your muscles/joints will hurt


  2. gahh, run about 4-5 days a week atleast 30-40 minutes of running each time. The first couple days, only go out for like 20 minutes.

  3. relax, the best thing you can do right now is work your way up to some nice long runs. you need the long runs before the season starts to build endurance. just do what you can with the rest of your summer and work extra hard when the season starts! good luck!
