I am doing an informational speech in my speech class. And it has to be 3-5 minutes long, and I can talk about anything I want. Of course it has to be ethical and legal. But other than that I can talk about anything I want. I cant decide, does anyone have suggestions?

  1. When I was in speech class last year, we had to do "how-to" speeches. Those were really funny when they were done well, especially when it was done about something that everyone already knew how to do. (ie-how to make a pb+j or one girl did a demonstration on how to do a mohawk)

What was great about them was that they were fun to do and fun to watch (within reason, I mean after 10 speeches about the exact same thing, it got kind of old, but I don't assume you'll have that problem.

Of course, you could always just pick something you're passionate about, that you know alot of information on. Don't worry so much about how other people will think or enjoy it, because if you're enjoying it, chances are they will be too.

And don't feel pressured to talk about things you aren't comfortable with---I mean, I did my speech on how to draw this little cartoon I had made up. I handed out little slips of paper and those little tiny pencils (I had found a random box of them) and then I drew. I did that because I wanted to and I enjoyed it.

Whatever you do decide, have fun with it! Trust me, it will make your speech better and your classmates will probably enjoy it too.

  2. Pick a topic YOU enjoy, and think people will enjoy.

    Try anything:

    9/11

    The political camgaines

  3. Talk about the issues that should be discussed in the upcoming presidential campaign.

  4. the ENVIRONMENT and GLOBALM WARMING

wer te generation thats gunnna havta fix those problems anyway so why not talk bout it

brainstorm ideas to solve the problems
