  1. I just put the bag I got yesterday into a glass dish with water.  I think they stay "plumped" better.  Also, they're in front of the refrigerator, so they're right in front of your face when you're looking for a snack! .......Unless you have children who are taking things out of the refrigerator, covered glass dishes are better to use than tupperware.  Food tastes better in glass;  you can see what's in there better; and it's easier to keep clean...

  2. with out water

Place carrots in a plastic bag before storing in a refrigerator crisper at 32 to 45 degrees F.

Carrots taste best when used within 2 weeks, but the nutritional value will keep for several weeks.

Prevent bitterness in carrots by storing them away from apples and other fruits that give off volatile gases (ethylene) while ripening

  3. I keep them in a ziploc bag without water so I'd say Tupperware without water. I think moisture hastens the rotting. That's why you wrap lettuce in paper towels to absorb the moisture.

The only produce I can recall stored in water at the grocery is asparagus. They're set in dishes with water at the base.
