  1. Congrats!! Driving is a rite of passage in this country!  It says you're old enough to think rationally.  The car won't do anything outside the laws of physics, unlike the video games .    I think of it as a big equalizer.  I'm the equal of anyone else driving, it doesn't matter if you're young, old, big or small.  Just follow the driving rules and you're pretty safe.  Everybody was new at it, at one time.  Keep your attention on the road, and you'll master it in no time.

  2. Take a deep breath and relax. If you've been practicing and reading up, then you are all ready.  Just follow the instructor's directions and you'll be fine.

  3. just relax.  Just drive, its not that hard.  it is easy just chilax.

  4. Relax you will do just fine.  Everyone was nervous at their first driving lesson.

  5. Just relax. The instructors have a lot of experience helping the inexperienced develop the necessary skills to be a competent driver.  Good luck!  (BTW, you won't be driving in my area, will you?)

  6. Hey, I was scared of my first lesson too, but really, it's not that bad!  Sure, I made some mistakes that I can't BELIEVE I made now that I'm more used to driving, but the instructor is used to people making mistakes when they drive, that's what they deal with all the time.  So when you make a mistake just know that it's probably nothing that you can't deal with.

Always keep your eyes on the road, and if you don't feel comfortable with going as fast as the speed limit, you can probably go just a little slower.  Be confident and know that you're going to do fine.  Keep safe and do what the instructor says, it's actually soooo much fun once you start driving.

It's one of my favorite things to do now, even if my own start was a little rocky.  lol, I even met my best friend in Driver's Ed!

    good luck! and God bless!
