HELP! looking for an Adult L dress, under $90, that can be shipped in less than a week?

okay so ive got this show coming up, and it came so quick, and i dont have a skating dress! im scared to order online, but ive went to all the places within 2 hours of my house, and no one has my size. see my problem is that im tall, 5'9.5, so the adult meduims fit in width, but were way too short for my legs and torso. so im just hoping a Large will fit lengthwise. Im looking for a, preferable sleeveless, darker, maybe a puple, blule, or red or any elegant color, and preferably under about $90. if anyone could help.. i would appreciate it soooooooo much. thanks! =)

I have a dress that was made for a very tall adult woman at our ice rink.  It is very elegant.  Maroon with twinkles in the fabric. The sleeves are nude tone so you are totally covered but it looks like it is open with "gloves" on your wrists.

Send me the unstretched measurements of a dress that fits you well and we'll see if they compare.  If they do this is yours for $80.

I know you said you are afraid of ordering off the internet, but it looks like it might be one of your only speedy solutions!  It sounds crazy, but check eBay.  A lot of times, dress makers post samples of dresses and then if you "win" their auction, they will make the dress to fit you.  They show you how to take your measurements and make the dress to fit you.  I needed a long program dress in a pinch and got a very nice one for about $90.....I don't think I've ever spent that little for a competition dress!!  :)  I got one from a seller who hand paints the dresses, which turned out to be very pretty -- a nice change to just rhinestones and sequins.  There are tons of dresses on eBay....new, used, embellished and plain.

Other than that, you can search online for dresses, but I don't know how many you'll find under $90.

Do you know anyone who is handy with a sewing machine?  Any dress makers or seamstresses in your area?  Maybe they could try their hand at making a dress for you (It's a pretty easy leotard pattern with a skirt added), and you would open their eyes to a whole new money making idea for them.  Also, are there any competitions coming up in your area?  A lot of times dress makers sell dresses at competitions.

With that time frame probably one of your best bets is going to be to check eBay for dresses that are ending soon. You can find some really nice, really cheap dresses. There are a lot of people that will make the dresses custom for you, but from what I've seen they are all in China or other counties, so you probably wouldn't get your dress in time. Before you purchase any item, whether it be on eBay or an online store, ask them if you will be able to get your dress in time.
