  1. Ask the teacher what books they use for handwriting as different schools use different brands of books. And you can purchase them in the educational bookshop and Borders also have them if not they can be ordered.

I had the same issue and I just buy the tracing type of books the school uses to try and get them to write properly and neatly.

  2. get her a stress ball.  It is a hand-held squishy ball designed to strengthen the hand muscles.  Poor hand writing often stems from a lack of muscle development in the hand.

  3. newsagents have writing book just bought 2 the other day come in stages 1-5? cant tell you there name son dose not live with me but if you ask should find them

  4. I'm 15 and i used to have bad hand writing these are some good things to help i use play-do to get my hand grip better,i don't use books cause it docent work and i have  Pediatric Occupational Therapist which helps me so much get a therapist not hand wirting book waste of money!!

  5. I'm a sixteen year old Australian high school student. I was an extremely messy writer in Primary school by the 'proper' way. Pfft. Once it comes to  high school or later in life it may be different for her. She may just need practice, she's only in year two.  Sometimes the set cursive way isn't for everyone it wasn't for me, I developed my own way of writing in grade six. Now I continually get compliments on my perfect handwriting. Just either get her to practice or let her develop it herself. Forcing her to write a certain way (like I was) may not help her at all. I still can't write cursive, but I can handwrite neatly and that's all it really comes down to.

  6. Jeez, give your kid some time. Im assuming the kid is like 6 or 7. Let the kid learn to write then, she can perfect it.

  7. wen i was in primary school we used to do this thing called, 'lazy eights' and it sounds really bad but it seriously works.

    so what u do is:

write the letter you want on the left hand side of the page

and then draw afigure eaight and go over and over it like 10 times (i think it was that but however many times is good but it cant be like under 4)

and then u write the letter on the right side of the page and it is neater.......well it worked for like my whole grade 3-4

so that is it sounds corny i kno but it worked 4 me :)

i live is australia so thats where i got taught it

  8. If she's in Year Two, then don't get overly worried yet, but ask you're daughter's school. When i was in grade 1,2 and 3, we had certain handwriting books that we used to get our handwriting better for when we were older. also ask your local library and see if they have any, you might find an academic handwriting book or something. try bookstores.

    hope i helped!
