Hi everybody.

I own a pool. This morning I walked outside to skim the pool and I saw a frog. I took a container, filled it with water, put a few rocks in it, and then placed the frog in the container. I was checking him out and I saw a scrape on his leg. It looks like he is in great pain. Then I put him back on the rock and there is little pieces of flesh floating on top of the water. Plus, it looks like one eye is blinded.

So my question is, how can I help heal his poor leg?

Here's some pictures of him.

(sorry, the scrape is hard to see in the picture, it looks kind of like a raw spot)

Thanks in advance!!!

  1. vet if his eye has film over it thats not a good sign ; doesnt mean he is blind it could be something else causing it that need attention

  2. Personally, I would just let the little guy go. It doesn't look all that bad, and it will heal naturally in about a week or so. Alot of frogs go blind in one eye, usually cause by jumping into something, but he should be fine. Its nature, so let it do its own thing. Thats great though that you saved him from the pool. He could have drowned. Just let him go nearby, maybe near a forest, or a pond. But let him go near where you found him, so hes back in his original habitat.

  3. LEAVE HIM ALONE GIVE IT A FEW DAYS AND IF HE DOES GET BETTER GO TO THE VET AND SEE IF THEY CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT

  4. ya what sami shadow said and dont touch it that probably hurts it more and its not ur frog u fount it its wild u cant keep it thats just wrong
