HELP! my hamster has a BROWN nose!

Question

My oldest hamster hammy, ( hes 6 months old) has a brown nose! its usually pink, but now its brown! i am very worried! the vet here is too expensive! and he is acting normal, and nothing has changed with him. I got him a new big cage 3 days ago though.he still gos in his little house in his cage and eats and drinks normally.(he never drank as much as my other hamsters though) please answer! thanks!

When they get older , like dogs, there noses get darker, its just how it goes. your a great pet owner,so dont worry any longer, he'll be okay!

Don't worry that is normal. Hamsters do that as they grow older, it's just natural

I wish all pet owners would be as caring as you are =)

Anyways, most hamsters will grow a bit more fur on the nose and ears when they get older. This could be a sign of maturity and probably is.

However, if there is any discharge coming from his nose or eyes or if he acts oddly, take him to a vet.

Its perfectly fine, its just a sign that he is getting older. My roborovski hammy is 8 months old and he still has a pink nose. Your hamsters fine. I would be as worried as you would be if I didnt know what was going on. Your hamster is fine.
