  1. go to the vet!

  2. Take him to trembling timbers.  euthanize him.

  3. Take it to the vet immediately! They would definitely be the ones to diagnose the problem!

  4. Definitely take him to the vet asap.  He is probably trying to conserve his energy by not moving around too much.  These small critters sometimes develop respiratory problems.  I had two mice who had the same thing.  I could see their sides heaving constantly as they breathed, like it was a lot of effort.  And they also started making a little clicking noise with each breath.  I took them to the vet and it was pneumonia.  I was given some liquid medication to give them in their mouths twice a day for 10 days and it worked!  But best to see about it sooner rather than later.

  5. You should take it to a vet right away, once they start breathing abnormally they usually go downhill very quickly.  However, if the hamster is old there may not be much the vet can do.  Hamsters only live for 2 to 3 years, so if it's close to 2 years old it may just be old age.

  6. GO TO THE VET NOW! IMMEDIATELY!!!!! IF YOU WANT IT TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. i would ask a vet maybe he has a disease  or something

  8. I would wait awhile and see if this behavior continues , if it does I would take it to the vet and get him checked out .

  9. call a vet, mine just died from respiratory problems.  she was a Syrian almost 2 yrs old.

  10. If your hamster is old, it will not be as active as it was when it was young.

If he still shoes signs of sickness, then it's time to pay the Vet a visit.

You cannot risk your hamster's life.

Just take care of your hammy and check whether he is eating and drinking properly.

Anyways, if you are trying to play with it during daytime, then your hamster might be clumsy and groggy, because your hammy is nocturnal, so daytime is bedtime.

Is your hamster playing at evening/night?

If so, then he might be fine.

But it doesn't hurt taking it to  the vet.

    Have a Good Day!

  11. i have had a few hamsters and i have always found that they if start to become less active it is a sign of illness. hamster lives are so much quicker then ours due to short age span so if they are ill it all happens very quickly so you need to act fast. if he has a wet tail then he needs to see the vet immediatly.. i have also found that cows milk does help perk them up a bit... (soak a rich tea biscut in it if you cant pepet it) hope it helps and hope he is better soon !!
