  1. Sounds like she is probably okay.  Like everyone else has said, just keep close eye on her and if you notice anything odd about her, take her to the vets.

  2. I would say you are safe to wait til tomorrow.  Most of the time we tell you to wait 24 hours and see if there is an improvement but the little ones can fracture their legs so easily.  Keep an eye on her though, it sounds like she will be fine.

  3. I wouldn't take the puppy to the vet, seeing as to how it is fine now. If she did get a small sprain or a bruise her own body could probably take care of it. If you are really anxious then you should probably just take her tomorrow. My Yorkshire jumps high distances off of couches, beds, stairs, and chairs and it has been living for quite a while now...

  4. i think that you just have to wait till tomorrow...she can hold on..

  5. she's probably ok. but take her to get looked at first thing tomorrow morning. monitor her closely overnight.

like human babies, puppies are more rubbary than adults but you should still check her tomorrow at the vet just to be totally certain.

  6. Your yorkie is probably fine. Just whimpered due to the fact of not normally taking shock on her joints from that high. One way to tell if there is a serious injury is to GENTLY feel her legs. If it all seems to be intact and the dog is walking fine without any change in behaviour and does not whimper when you feel the legs, chances are nothing is wrong so if I were you I wouldn't waste a trip to the vet.

That being said if in the morning you find any abnormal swelling on her legs or any change in behavior then you might want to consider a vet trip.

  7. comfort her and try to take her to the vet :[ poor thing!!!

  8. omg the dogs fine it will live if its not whinning or if it wasn't walking then you can take it to the vet if its running around like a normal dog and it dosnt look to have broken anything the dog will live its ok take a chill pill dogs are made to jump from high places even small dogs

  9. Take it to the vet..

  10. if ur dog is not limping ir not himself he is fine and teh bump could be her frount leag my dog has it to

  11. Since he stopped whimpering he, should be okay, that may just be an immediate reaction to the fall, keep an eye on him, but I think he's fine.

  12. She'll be fine.

\If you notice her walking oddly, I would take her to the vet tomorrow.

  13. I really don't know what to say.  If she seems like she is fine, then I'd say wait to go to your vet tomorrow.  However, my FAVORITE dog at my daycare just passed away because of something somewhat similar to that.  She was a yorkie poo and the person that was watching her (a friend of the owner) stepped on her by mistake when she was walking down the stairs.  She squealed but seemed fine after a while...and she passed away over night.  So with that said, I would take her to the emergency room.  The decision is completely yours...it's a tough call because it's so expensive...but it could be life or death, you never know.

  14. I think it might not be that urgent if shes not moaning or whinpering. She should keep off till tomorrow. Maybe you should slowly massage her between her shoulders.

  15. when i put my dog on my table he jumped of and was whimpering also but, he turned out ok. so nothing to worry about

  16. If she'll let you handle her and touch the leg, and she's walking on it, she's probably okay, but if you notice anything different at all then yes, go to the emergency vet tonight.  Otherwise, still get her checked out with your vet tomorrow just to be safe, but just keep a close eye on her.  Good luck, hope she's okay.

  17. It sounds like she is ok. Just keep an eye on her tonight.

  18. Yorkies are small but they are pretty tough. But your baby yorkie seems like she is fine. If a dog is hurt they will let you know. If she isnt whimpering or limping. Just wait till your next planned vet visit.

  19. Of course falling from that height would hurt, but if she's acting normal now, you probably won't need to take her to the vet at all.

  20. that suck the poor little puppy well shell be fine

  21. no this has happened to my yorkie and my german shepard...they just whine a little bit and its soo sad but just massage the area and they will be fine

  22. just wait until tomorrow she is still very young and she should heal fast. just keep an eye on her and keep her away from high areas and your sister

  23. My sisiters yorkie broke it's leg from jumping off the bed

they have very fragil bones, If she's not wimpering, get he checked tomorrow

  24. Aww! Yorkies are so adorable!

Your puppy doesn't seem hurt, otherwise she would be wimpering all night. Don't take her to the emergecy pet center. Just take her to the vet tomorrow.

    Have a good night!

  25. If she's walking and not in obvious pain, she's probably OK.  My parents were dog sitting my blind cocker spaniel once when she walked off a 10 foot deck and hit concrete.  She was stunned for a while, but had no injuries.

  26. Puppies are a lot tougher than you think. If she has resumed her normal playing schedule and is not whimpering, she's probably fine. Just keep an eye on her tonight.

  27. If she's not whimpering, she'll be fine.

  28. sounds fine. wait till tommorow

  29. She's ok, it's nice you care so much about her though. :)

  30. If your dog was in pain, you'd know about it. Just feel and touch around her body ...get her paws and move them around and if she doesn't wince in pain - just wait it out. Call your vet tomorrow for more advice.

I get really paranoid about my dogs...I call the 24 hour emergency vet in my area and every time they tell me my dog seems fine. Try that...call the emergency vet and ask them what they think.

  31. your yorkie fell off i thought you were a girl
