so few days ago i was on here reading answers about yahoo messenger and why i couldnt see the text. one answer was to change some of the settings in ( TOOLS> INTERNET OPTIONS>SECURITY>Custom options) on my internet explorer. (change stuff to do with Script)

OK the problem now is that i dont kno what i changed but now if i have a bunch of windows open and i close one, it says there is a problem and closes all the windows and "restarts internet explorer". It does it when i open internet explorer too but it doesnt restart it in that case.. its driving me crazy. anyone know what i changed??? please help me

  2. Here is a way into the Internet Options if IE keeps closing on you.

    On the desktop find the IE icon.  Right click on it.  Click on "Properties"

    The "Internet Options" windows will open.

    Click on the "Advanced" tab.  Click on both reset buttons.

    Click on OK

    Restart IE and see if you are still having the shut down problem.

    If you are still going to throw it out the window, let me know where you live first.  :)

  3. Okay, I'd go back into Tools>Internet Options>Security (tab)> Once you select one of the top  four icons (Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites) the menu below will change accordingly. I want you to manually reset each one from the custom level to one of the Default settings. if when you select an icon, it says something along the lines of custom settings applied; then hit the default button and apply these settings to each icon.

    Internet = Medium High

    Local Intranet = Medium Low

    Trusted Sites = Medium

    Restricted Sites = High

    If all else fails, you can reset IE to factory settings via the Tools>Internet Options>Advanced (tab)>Reset... (button) This will disable any and all add-ons yet you can manually enable which ones you want such as Java from Sun, or whatnot here: Tools>Manage Add-ons>Enable or Disable Add-ons

    Best of luck.

  4. If you only changed what it said to change originally then why don't you just change them back? and guys think about it if his internet explorer isnt working then with what browser does he download firefox...

  5. Try using firefox like Dell said. Its a great browser. Much safer and to be honest more stable.

  6. You are using IE and that is a problem in itself. IE is a very un-secure and sometimes a more unstable program in the way of internet browsers, just download and install Mozilla Firefox 3.0. Its safe, free, more user friendly, and all around much better that IE(its not as vulnerable for one)
