HELP please with my comp.?

Question

ok heres all wat happened, there was a cd in my disk driver and when i pushed the button it wouldnt open. So i use the paperclip (tiny hole) thing and it popped out and i got the cd out well its not closing when i push the button and when i just push the tray all the way in, it wont open when i push the button, i have to pry it open.. so wat am i suppose to do, has any of u had a situation like this?.... and is there a substitute for this like can i get another disk driver and any suggestions please and thanku

Cali, this is a hardware issue with the drive. No driver re installation can correct this. It would be interesting to know if your drive can still read discs. Your drive requires a replacement.

to be sure you may test the drive before logging onto windows to check if it works ok, no drivers are involved before windows load.

your drive is dirty, and or just old and broken..

just buy a new one, there not to expensive.

when you click the button im assuming you can hear it try to open

the rubber band that rotates the gear to open it fell off

or the button just doesnt work anymore

you would have to get a new one

if it was mine i would take it apart but i dont recommend it

Get a new disk drive they're cheap.

Sorry but i think you might have to buy a new disk drive.

Next time You have problems with your computer try calling a neighboor and they may come and help. :D
