HELP?? project on solar energy and natural gases!! :|?

Hii, I'm doing a science fair project on solar energy (well solar cars) and i want to know how much gasoline North American's use daily, and some sites about solar energy info. thanks.

I couldn't find much stuff, i read somewhere about the amount of gas but i can't find it anymore. any info sites would be good :)
