  1. if you want a good size board, and your looking to do hits on the wave, and maybe snaps, and not just ride the wave, then you will want a board that is 3-4 inches taller than you. but if you know that your growth spirt is coming or if your still growing, then get a board that is maybe 5 or 6 inches taller, so you can use it a lot, an not out grow it.

another tip is if you can, get an epoxy board rather than fiberglass. they are 2x lighter, and are almost impossible to get any dings on when campared to fiberglass.

also, when you get to the shop your buying the board at, tell the guy what your looking for and if he has any suggestions on what your looking for or what is good.

    happy surfing

  2. with your height, 6 should be PERFECT...

  3. Get a seven footer and hang on for dear life.

  4. go to a professional and have him show you different board options. Some people like a lean light board while others like heavy ones.
