HELP! this is driving me crazy! what is...

Question

a zone school? i read a question a few minutes ago & the girl was asking about schools for some reason but she said she got into a high school & her parents were talking about moving & she may have to go to a zone school?? what is that? & where are they? whats the difference between a zone school & a regular high school? how do you get into it? why? omg! its driving me insane & i cant figure it out! help please!

If you live in a certain neighborhood you will be "zoned" to attend a school in the same geographical area. That's what happens most of the time. If you don't want to go to the school you are zoned for, you have to apply for a variance to go to a high school in a different zone/area.

I always though and I could be wrong that a school zone...is the area around the school.

oh wow a zoned school is a school that is the school ur supposed to go because its closer to u. A regular school is a reagular school and the zoned school that u go to is a regular school too its just zoned school for that person because u are in the zone/area of that school.
