Question:

HELP! tomorow i have a meet and my arch is killing me!?

okay so i was running today and about 2.5 milkes into it my arch started to hurt really bad. so bad that i had to start to walk.. my shoes only have 200 miles and i had the same exact shoe before these..

any ideas why my arch hurts, what to do about it, and should i run tomorow??

  1. I have the same problem. My trainer suggested that I stretch them out by doing stretches such as putting the top part of your feet up on a wall and leaning forward as far as you can. Also, you need to ice them. I would suggest making a mixture of water and alcohol. Put water in 3/4 of the bottle and alcohol in the other 1/4. Then freeze it and roll it over your arch. I don't know your exact situation, but taping made mine worse because pushes on where its already swollen. If taping works for you thats good though. Good Luck!


  2. Ice it for 10-15minutes 3Xs and then get athletic tape and wrap it around your foot (arch and top of foot) about 3 to 4 times. Wrap this with a snug fit but not too tight when your toes go blue or numb.   This will make a temporary support for your arch.  Take advil about an hour before your race and your good to go.  If the problem persists, go see your doctor.

  3. we have a trainer at my school so yall should to and just let him see if its ok to run i would just ice it or something and see how it feels in the mornin
