HELP!!...trying to trace a family member??

Question

hi all... im trying to trace a family member who havent seen for bout 3 years due to family problems, ive tried facebook.. my space and bebo, friends/ genes reunited etc... but now running out of options, does anyone know of any good methods of locating people, tried lots of other websites but all got high charges, any help wud be very appreciated.. thanks..

I think i can help! i had exactly the same problem, had lost contact with a family member due to some problems....tryed all the usual things that you listed....and then found out about the salvation army family tracing service....you tell them the name, dob, and last know address and they find the family member...they write to them and tell them who is looking for them with that persons contact details....so its up to the 'lost' person to make contact with whos trying to find them....i paid £25 for that...was a few years back but it cant have gone up by too much and they are a charity....hope that helps and good luck with your search x

LOL have you tried the phone book?

local libraries stock phone books for different parts of the country... and some are online

well I don't know if thats how it works where you are but thats how it works for my city.

Yellow pages are good, online etc... you can find addresses/phone numbers with names, your family member might not even have internet
