  1. Go on line and look up baby shower party ideas they have some really cool stuff.

  2. Easy Veggie & Ham Supper

    2 tsp. butter

2 cups frozen chunky mixed vegetables, thawed patted dry and chopped

1/2 cup leftover diced smoked ham

1/2 cup leftover cooked soft pasta

    2 cloves garlic minced

    1/2 tsp. dried oregano

    6 eggs

    2tsp. dijon mustard

1 cup shredded canadian cheddar cheese-divided

    1/3 cup grape tomatoes/ halved

    1) In 8-10" nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add vegetables, ham, pasta, garlic and oregano, cook stirring occasionally for 3min.

    2) In a bowl, whisk eggs and mustard until blended, stir in 3/4 cup of cheese. Pour egg mixture into skillet and stir gently until the eggs start to thicken, smooth the top surface with a spatula. As the egg mixture continues to cook, life the edges to let the uncooked portion run underneath. When no visible liquid remains, about 2minutes later, arrange tomatoes cut side up and sprinkle with remaining cheese.  Cover with lid or foil, and cook for about 2min. or until cheese is melted and the bottom is lightly browned.

Remove from Heat..let stand 1minute before cutting into wedges.

Cooking tip= To quickly thaw frozen veggies, place in a colander and run under warm water, drain well and pat dry.

In place of frozen veggies, use 1 1/2cups of chopped cooked leftover veggies.

Change it up tip:  Use Canadian Brick in place of Cheddar. Add 1/2 tsp. of hot pepper flakes to egg mixture. Whole wheat pasta makes a healthy choice*

    --------------------------------------...

tuna sandwiches cut into little triangles

    --------------------------------------...

    cheeses/crackers/pickles -tray

    veggie tray with dip

    --------------------------------------...

    fruit platter

    --------------------------------------...

sweet n sour meatballs and rice

  3. I'd say come up with "names" for each dish that you have (even if it's just something plain and boring like a pasta dish). Put the tags with the names on them in front of each dish (like the name Samantha in front of a chicken platter and Douglas in front of a plate of veggies)...then, during the shower, have each guest vote for their favorite "name" dish and announce the winner before dessert. Who knows, maybe you'll end up really liking one of them. The guests will love that they're getting involved and think that they really might have a say in the naming of your child... hahaha, dontcha just love overwhelming families?

Man, this is an awesome idea. I should have used this. Lol.

  4. check out Martha Stewart.com and Foodtv.com for lots of ideas and receipes.

  5. finger foods  like cakes and veggies crackers and cheese with sausage

  6. Hahaha....................funny cos we had one not long ago.

Someone made poo poo looking peanut cookies. Another women service chocolate cake in brand new white cloth nappies, so the mom can start learning how to wash nappies. It was going to be a baby boy, so lots of little sausge on tooth picks with two little olives. also a few drunken women was drinking gin out of a baby bottle.

  7. I would keep the menu to finger foods.

meatballs, fruit tray, veggie and cracker tray, wings, chips with dip.

  8. NOT ALL OF THESE BUT HERE ARE SOME IDEAS...

    cheese and crackers

    ham and turkey sandwiches

    cake

    bologna

    Salad Wrap

    Tuna sandwich

    A cucumber chain

    Sliced melon

    bagel

    potatoes

    applesause

  9. Chicken salad sandwiches

    Fruit and fruit dip

    cucumber sandwiches

    spinach dip

    fresh veggies

    meatballs

pink punch (if a girl!) 1/2 gallon raspberry sherbert, 2 liter ginger ale, 1 can frozen concentrate raspberry lemonade fixed per directions

  10. Go to your local grocery store and order from there local deli . order sandwiches or chicken . But pasta or macaroni salad . But chips and dip or vegis. This way you don't have to bother with stuff as much  you get to enjoy your self and the clean up is minimal. And you can also buy a cake or cupcakes and cookies there to.

  11. So we did this and it was a big hit.   Go get some soup bowels, you can even have them colored blue or pink or whatever color.  and serve a creamy soup in them (bearcreek soup is what we used).  Then you dont have to worry about anything else because its soooo filling.  You could do a salad but we did not even need one.  and some desserts and a punch, we did wine but prego mom had a special punch (made just for her)   Serious everyone LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

  12. My mom always made Frosted Sandwich Loaves for luncheons:  A whole loaf of fresh bread, sliced lengthwise into 3 layers.  Put ham, chicken, tuna or egg salad between the layers, relayer them, and "frost" the entire loaf with softened cream cheese and sprinkle with chopped parsley.  To serve, slice down and put a 3-layer slice on each plate.  See if your bakery will bake the bread either pink or blue (depending on the s*x of the baby)  ...     She'd also make cream puffs, and pull the top up into a long "twirl" before baking, so it resembled a swan's neck.  Then fill the cream puffs with vanilla or chocolate pudding, or whipped cream with strawberries, for Swan Cream Puffs  ....   If it's a girl, you can make PINK LEMONADE PIES:

         1 large container Cool Whip

1 6-oz. can frozen pink lemonade, thawed & undiluted

1 can Eagle Brand condensed sweetened milk

1 9" graham cracker crust (storebought is fine)

Mix all together and put into the crust.  Chill at least 4 hours,

or overnight.  Decorate with Cool Whip dollops and pink

        jelly bellies

If it's a boy, you can make a cake and frost it with Whipped Cream, and add about 1/2 package of blue jello to the whipped cream .......
