HELP! what can i take on a plane to EGYPT!?

hey, im going to egypt next week & i would like to know exactly what i can take on the plane, like can i take hair straighteners or a hairdryer in my hand luggage, just incase my case gets lost.

can i take all makes up & cosmetics as long as its under 100ml? anything at all?

or is it limited?

Yes you can take your cosmetics, any solid ones like lipstick etc,  and liquid stuff under 100ml, dont know about sraighteners and stuff.  Not metal nail files, tweezers etc.  The site below gives some info - its for Edinborough airport but I'm sure the info is pretty general across the board.
