HELP what must an introduction include in a science report!!!!?

I am doing a science report and i have to write an introduction what must be included in this?

The introduction should include the following points:  

1.  If the paper is on an experiment, what does it show?

2.  What is the reason for doing the experiment?

3.  What is the historical basis for the experiment?

4.  References!

5.  Briefly, what did the experiment show.

6.  On to the methods.

7.  Next the results.

8.  Then the conclusion.

9.  Then the bibliography.

You should include the following points

1. What is the experiment/report designed to determine?

2. What is the reason for doing the experiment?

3. Have similar experiments been conducted? And if so do they present similar results (state results)?

4. What does your background information suggest should happen? and why?

5. What was and why did you choose the equipment you used?

6. Briefly state the method (and the VARIABLES you controlled and why)

7. Briefly state the results

8. Are your results valid and reliable?

9. Does further investigation need to be completed before the results are verified and proven absolutely accurate?

That is all you need to say. Make sure it is all very brief. Your introduction should really just be a brief summery about what you did and why.

All of the background information should go under a sperate heading of 'BACKGOUND INFORMATION' or "THEORY'.

The other answer is also correct, you introduction should be followed by your background information, aim, hypothesis, method, results, discussion, conclusion and bibliography. In that specific order.
