HELP!!! which laptop should i buy?

I'm starting university soon.. and i need a laptop to take so i can write all my essays and stuff....

I'm so clueless when it comes to stuff like this!

what should i be looking for?

any suggestions in laptops?

also, how do i get the internet on it?

Look at Dell and Acerdirect sites. They are competitive and list the specifications.

Buy the cheapest model as that's all you need for WP, Spreadsheets, Databases etc. New laptops are wireless enabled. You just need to be within range of a router (eg Home Hub) and have a Broadband telephone line. Uni will have a system in place already, so ask.

The "ASUS EEE" notebook pc is a good choice if your only wanting to browse the net (wireless connectivity included) and some word processing, they are also highly portable. they retail from £100 to abut £300 depending on the model.

i think that you should just check around, the dell studio laptops offer good value for money,

but as you aren't going to be doing to many processor demanding tasks a laptop with a intel duo core processor and about 2 gb of ram, and a sizable hard drive 80gb or more. and also try go for a wireless laptop as they are much more portable
