HELP* wisdom tooth BIG PROBLEM!!!?

Ive been using salt water rinses, and at the very bak of my mouth there looks to b gum with a bump (a tooth underneath mayb??) that HURTS! its swollen i feel like i could almost bite it. coming before this gum bump at the back of my mouth is a tooth && I see some white stuff by it and the gum bump. WHat do u think is the cause??

MY DILEMMA~~

~~Ive already taken Clindamycin for infected wisdom teeth in july 2008. the effects this anti biotic has on ur system makes me suspect i shouldn't take another round of them?

~~ My white blood count is low. extraction is not an option!

~~ Im startin Thyroid medication && i dont think they can counteract with other medications

- My doctor isnt in for another WEEK!

HELP?? :( what shuld i do? emerg dentist? local emerg? i dont want the infecton 2 go to my brain!!

  1. if that happened to me id get freaked out. try calling another dctor to get their opinion. they might have the right thing to help it


  2. if you're worried about infection, there is a hydrogen peroxide based mouth rinse you can get at most drug stores. i can't remember the name of it (peroxyl, i think...but there are probably others), but i use it whenever my gums start looking a little red. it stings a little bit, but you can feel the little bubbles surrounding the  affected areas and that's kind of neat. look in the mouth wash aisle, probably near any canker sore treatments....

It does sound like a new tooth trying to come in.  If the bump makes you feel like biting it, then I would say it is a tooth.  However, it sounds like you have had other problems that you have been doctoring for.  This may be complications with the wisdom teeth in July and white blood count means that you are fighting some sort of infection.  and then the thyroid thing.  You may get away with waiting your own dentist comes back from vacation, but then if it gets worse, don't hesitate to head for emerg.  Your choice, how much pain can you take with out medication.
