Re-posting 'cause I didn't get anything useful the first time

we have a Kirby Tradition Vacuum cleaner and my mom took the nose not only off, but APART (I told her not to take it apart) to clean it, and now we can't figure out how to get it put back together. If we can put it back together, I can get it back on the machine. . .but when we put it together the way mom thought it goes together, it made a screaming, shrieking sound. I refer to the piece that is usually on the cleaner, which comes off when the hose is put on. the part with the roller-brush thing in it. BTW, the roller-brush thing does not turn. MUST BE REASSEMBLED AND FIXED ASAP

10 points to the first answer that results in a working vacuum cleaner without a repair shop

Calling local repair shop listed number was someone's voicemail

  1. I used to sell kirby's I remember exactly how they go. Is the front completely apart?// the front nose has a small side and a big side for the ends of the brush bar to go into. First take the rubber band and put it on the brush bar and insert it in the front nose and there is a hook for the rubber band on the front of nose there is a dial to turn turn it to make the hook grab the rubber band and on the dial is a green arrow and a red one turn it to the red to where the rubber band on the hook is turned all the way up and tight on the brush bar and then place the metal piece on the bottom of the nose and lock it in place and there are two hooks on the back of the nose to be placed on the bar beneath the hole on the front of the vacuum and then push the nose against the vacuum and lock it in place with the dial on the front. put the dial back to green and there you go. Hope this helps it's hard to describe without just doing it myself .
