  1. wow... you sound set. I studied once for the SAT lol. You will be fine. I am sure you will get into any school you want.

  2. You are really on the right track and will probably be accepted into any college you apply.  One thing you might do to help you make a decision is to call an engineering firm in your town or city.  Maybe you could set up a time to come to their business and talk to them about your future.  Ask them if they would want an "intern" during the school year or even next summer.  Ask them which schools their engineers went to.

I am not sure where you would find this info, but I bet it is out there: the top ten engineering schools in the United States.  Maybe the public library would be able to help you answer that or you school counselor.

Good luck and you will make some firm very happy.

The last thing I would suggest is to pick one of those universities and call and talk to the dean or assistant dean of the engineering school, especially call Cornell since your dad went there.  They'll be signing you up immediately, since you seem very mature, motivated and qualified. Have your list of questions ready and ask him/her about your situation.

Maybe you could go to the campus and talk to that person directly or maybe they could hook you up with a student that is in the engineering program.
