  2. The NVIDIA video card is good enuf to run games on, but your processor (AMD Sempron), 2.0 GHz, is a little week.  They sell them with up 4 GHz now, and with 2-4 processors.

    Won't hurt to try, tho.

  3. yes but if you add more ram you will get a lot better performance out of it

  4. The specifications on this laptop are decent, and for the most part shouldn't provide you with too many problems...except for one.

Running Vista on a laptop with only 1 GB of RAM is a recipe for disaster. Vista is quite resource intensive, and with only that small amount of RAM, you'll find it slowing down when you have multiple programs running. A minimum of 2 GB is recommended.

Since it's a 32-bit operating system, it'll only recognize a max of 3 GB of RAM, but if you really want excellent performance, you'll need to dual channel your RAM, and if you have the cash, I would recommend buying two 2GB sticks of RAM.

Whatever amount you choose, at least upgrade to 2GB total.

Besides that your laptop should be capable of running any intensive editor.

  5. According to what you described in your settings you should be able to run CSS either in Medium or High.

  6. You're going to have a VERY hard time running Windows on that laptop, let alone CSS. The graphics chip isn't your biggest problem, but the insufficient memory, and the processor. I would say bump it up to 2GB minimum. The CPU on the other hand may be upgraded, but only if you know what you are doing. Even if you do that, the graphics chip is really low end.

Gaming on a budget laptop is not impossible, just never recommended. I've been able to play HL2 on a Geforce 6150 mobile chip at low settings, but that was on a much more powerful CPU and more memory.
