Question:

HELP with my lucid dreams and nightmares? also sleep paralysis and OBE's?

When I become lucid in a dream and a ghost appears in front of me I try to ignore it because I want to take advantage of my lucidity, but I force myself to wake up because I'm afraid I might die from the "ghost" in my nightmare. In my past nightmares I have encountered scary ghosts tickling me or strangling me and I hate that feeling I'm afraid I might die.

Another thing is, IM CONFUSED if what im encountering is SLEEP PARALYSIS or OBE.

my body feels paralyzed: it feels like my eyes are closed but I can "see"/ imagine the things and I find it hard to get up; my body feels sooooo heavy. It feels so freaky and weird

any suggestions to help me with my nightmares? or sleep paralysis? THANKS!!!

  1. Sleep paralysis-Stay away from anti-histamines,sleep on your front,NOT your back, try taking some nytol 1 hour before bedtime.

  2. I experience this too, on occasion.

It's really tough to deal with. You just have to tell yourself it's not real, because it's not.

Sleep Paralysis happens when you wake up, but your brain "forgot" to tell your body to wake up.

There is a facebook group that maybe can give you some answers. The link is in the sources.

  3. I have had sleep paralyisis where I would wake up and a shadowed figure was trying to attack me .. and when I tried to scream no sound would come out...very scary..I seriously think when this happens it is some sort of demonic force.

  4. you can learn to control your lucid dreaming. Once you realize in your dream that it isn't real, you can change gears and lead it the way you want to. I don't know much about this because I've never lucid dreamed, but I know there are definitely ways to control them and there are specific techniques. Try checking some stuff out online. Imagine having this dream but knowing what to do to make it change? Pretty helpful I'd imagine. Good luck, sweet dreams.
