hiya

ok well i have a sony walkman music play but i when i put music on it just says no data base? has anyone got any ides? please help.xx

On my Sansa you need special software to download music to the player.  That software fills out all the other stuff that goes along with the song: album art, subfolder placement, what would be considered database entries, and finally the song MP3 file itself.  If I just go and copy an MP3 file to the device using the USB connection and file explorer, the song won't play.

I suspect Sony has the same kind of deal.  Here is the tech support site.  Fill in your model number and see if there isn't a download for some software to load MP3 files to your walkman.
