HELPPPP should i wear a dress on the first day of school?

i went school shopping and found absolutely nothign! i have a dress i never wore from last year its a tube, and its white and lace-y ish its kinda easter-y. if i paired it with a black shrug, a colorful purse, some black gladiators, and a chunky necklace would it be too dressy for the first day of high schoool? HELPPPP PLEASEEE

Yeah, people don't really dress up for the first day of school in high school. Then after the first week people start wearing dresses and stuff. I wore a really casual dress last year with wedges and a simple solitude diamond necklace and I felt like I was a little too dressy. Wear a the black shrug, a cami/tank top, capris/bermudas or a denim skirt and the gladiators with the purse and the chunky necklace. I think that would be really cute, and perfectly dressed. i would not though. maybe jeans with a tshirt or a skirt with a tshirt. dresses are a little too old for the style.

Wear the dress but try to dress it down some.

Maybe put some skinny jeans under it but still wear the gladiators.

You wont really need a purse if you are gonna be using a tote (not sure if you are tho lol)

Also dont add to many accessories you wont want them on and clunking all day.

You wanna look like you put it together effortlessly and its comfy!

Alot of people wear dresses for the first day of school, so don't be afraid to wear a dress.

if its a white tube dress, you could dress it down but wearing a bright belt around your waist that matches the belt, flip flops and a black shrug or maybe some kind of shirt under it, it would be totally appropriote.  just make sure you dress it down instead of dressing it up.

umm no, i dont think you should.. wear something you already own and that you KNOW you look good in. especially since its a new school. make sure its pretty comfy since high school is VERY busy:)

and itll give you the confidence you need to stsart off a great year!!!

well, you could wear a simple, one of those thick ceramic bangles found at Claire's. At Payless ShoeSource, they now sell American Eagle, so you could buy a pair of leather flats. tube dresses are really cute, so yes for that. not so crazy for a colorful purse, tho. Maybe a tote from Aeropostale? they have cheap ones there that are large and striped and are around $10. then, maybe a stretchy black necklace http://claires.com/product.asp?name=prod... that would look GREAT with the black shrug. you have fantastic fashion sense! keep it up and hav a great first day of school! :D

You can wear whatever you want to wear, you shouldn't have to ask people you don't know.

Just make sure it complies with the dress code, and that you won't find yourself dying from heat stroke while wearing it.

It depends on what kind of impression you want to make. If you're a girlie girl, go for it! But remember, most schools don't allow strapless dresses/ shirts. Good luck!

it might be but u could also look on the internet for things to wear to school make sure it does't brake the dresscode but ya it should be okay to wear
