HELPPPPPPP please..?

Question

Sometimes i look at the people on tv dancing hip hop and krump and breakdance and all the rest and i love dancing with al my heart.. and i think to myself.. im never going to do that. i cant do it and im never going to be flexible as those dancers.. theres always better than them and i cant be like them ever..

i want to audition for so you think you can dance in 6 years

but i cant becos of the fear of not getting in or getting rejected.. and i wont even win so theres no point in going because i really really want it i really want to be a dancer but there is not much opportunities to be famous out there as a dancer

and i know i wont make it..

wat shud i do ?

sabra, one of the winners of sytycd only had dance lessons for FOUR years!

its never too late,

it just depends on how much effort you put.

and if youre shy, and you THINK youre putting in effort, youre most likely not, you just need to break out of your shell and DANCE, nobody else will care how you look or how flexible you are if they can tell you are REALLY giving it your all!

cut out the negative self-talk!  that will keep you from fulfilling your dreams, whether its a job on a stage or at McDonalds.  

if you know you won't make it, then you're right so don't bother.  but if dancing makes you happy then you should do it to make yourself happy.  just take responsibility for developing your dancing skills and do your best.

start small.  perform at studio recitals.   audition for local events, plays, whatever.  even if you don't "make it" at an audition, it will give you experience and feedback as to where you can improve.

Ok lets get real here - People are answering you saying that you can do it if you work hard. This is true, but its not the whole truth. As well as working hard at your dancing you need cultivate your way of life in how you look after your body, how you eat, your personal image, even the friends you keep can have an impact. The bottom line is this - Its not easy, and no, not everyone who works hard makes it to the top, but you really need to change your attitude. Your question is full of "oh, I'll never be as good as those others" na you have a fear of failing.

Ditch the bad vibes and sort out your confidence levels - that will be the biggest thing to hold you back. Untill you can say "I am just as good as the rest" you will always be de-valuing your hard work.

If you don't want to work hard, you'll never be a dancer.

Believe in yourself, work your butt off, and be the best you can be.

But seriously, if you don't believe in yourself, who else will?

You have to believe in yourself. And if So You Think You Can Dance does turn you down in six years, then you can walk away saying you're a better person than you were going in. You can take their criticism and spend the year working on what they said to improve on.

&& you CAN be as flexible as those dancers on TV. You just have to work for it. I got my splits in a week because I was embarrassed that everyone else could do them & I couldn't. So I worked and worked at home.

honestly if you put your heart and soul in it you will become a famous dancer.those dancers that you admire were not born like that.they worked hard.

rejection just makes you work even harder to get what you want.

even if you dont win in so you think you can dance you got the chance to work with some of the greatest choreographers alive and learn so much!

just work hard and put your hard into it.it will pay off.
