Okay

So I have had a total of three periods this summer (so it wont be that heavy) and when I go to school I was wondering if I put a pad on in the morning and I switched it at recess (around 10:20) would it be okay if I waited until 3:30 to change it because my lunch is early!Do you have any plans of how to get to the bathroom with a pad without any one seeing you or taking too long. By locker is in the basement so I cant go in the middle of the class and go get one and then use the rest room and get back too class it will take to long and I cant tell a teacher that I am going to change a pad because 90% of my teachers are guys!Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Carry a pad in your back pocket, then pull your shirt down/ You wont be able to see the pad :D

  2. Teachers, even i fthey are guys, will understand. Adults will I mean. Tell them that you need to ue the phycility. If they say no, say it's a lady's emergancy. They will understand.

If he still doesn't get it, which some of them don't, say it's the time of the month. But he should get it if you like wink at him and look at your stomach and hint at it. Even if you say, Female issue, he will understand.

  3. Changing it at recess sounds good, as long as your period isn't too heavy.

Can you put a couple of pads in your purse or backpack? Then you wouldn't have to run to your locker or anything.

And how to do in stealthily? Practice makes perfect, right? Work on opening the pad and taking the plastic parts off quickly, then arrange it, toss the wrapper/old pad into the little garbage can in the stall and you're good to go!

If one of your teachers says you were taking too long, go ahead and explain. Guys kinda have a "don't ask, don't tell" relationship with periods, and if you're blunt about it, even just saying "lady issues", I can almost promise that they'll never ask you again.

  4. well u should try using a tampon u don't have to change them that frequently

unless your to young to wear them or just don't want to

but well you can try putting a pad in your pocket or i a jacket their not that big so it wont be noticeable

  5. well anytime my male teachers let me go to the bathroom they pretty much understood why sometimes were longer than others. You are supposed to change your pad every 4hours depending on how heavy you are. Im not sure if you can carry purses to class but thats what i did in order for people not 2 know i was changing my pad. If you have a woman principle talk to her and she will let your teachers know to excuse you for the restroom and she doesnt have to tell them why either cuz shes the boss :) hope everything works out

  6. yes carry a pad in your purse,  and just ask to go to the bathroom around 2:00 or 1:30 pm

  7. Just ask your teachers, even if they are male. If they ask why you need to go or why you took so long, just look them in the eye and say "feminine reasons". They will get the drift or be too embarrassed to press you further. Just be confident!

  8. It most likely won't be noticeable in a sweater pocket. That should be fine. I've also hid one right behind my jeans button against my stomach before. That works pretty well.

The purse idea is a good one though. Usually about the time you get your period you also begin to have things like cell phones, money, and other things you don't want stolen. Its NEVER a good idea to leave these in a backpack and just go off to the bathroom even if friends are watching your stuff. Its a really good habit to get it in to keep all your valuable stuff with you all the time =)

  9. Put It In Your Pocket Or Slip It In Your Trousers..I Had A Planner Which We Had To Get It Sighned To Go To The Loo And I Slipped It In There.

  10. you can ask the teacher if u can go to the bathroom and then go to the nurse and ask for a pad she will help u

  11. You'll do fine.

    You have a few options:

    1. Wear a super heavy pad to last the long stretch of hours

    2. Carry pads in your bookbag.  Most have a secret pocket.  If someone sees it, so what?

    3.  Ask the school to stock pads or a vending machine in the ladies' room.

    4. Raise your hand and ask to go to the restroom.  Say you have to pee really bad.

Be optimistic.  It's only 5 days a month, and some of those days might be on a weekend.

  12. ok so i've gone thru the same hesitation........just put one in ur pocket and wear a tank top or somethin that will go over it. no one will notice. or maybe if u have back pockets with the buttons that would work. good luck!

p.s. yes ur changing time would b fine

  13. I'm guessing your still young because you have recess.

I don't think caring around a purse would be a good solution because boys grab them and look through them all the time. And that could end badly.

If you have planners or assignment books make a little pouch so you can stick them in there. My guess is you have to bring your planner with you to the bathroom, so its a pretty fool proof method.

About changing your pad till 3:30. I think that will be fine just check for leeks every 20 minutes or so. Carry an extra pair of pants and undies so if you have to make a quick change, you can.

Another thought. Most schools have women nurses and they are totally down with periods. If you have used the bathroom pass to much go to the nurse and tell her, she will more than likely let you use the nurse bathroom and you can take as much time as you need.

    Good luck!

  14. The best way to hide feminine products is by taking your purse (if you don't have one start using one lol) with you to the bathroom, that's what i do. When it comes to changing it, it really depends on your flow that day. Don't predict that it won't be heavy because you just never know and you shouldn't risk it. It also depends on how absorbent your pads are. If it's for heavy flow, you should be alright. And you should be able to go the bathroom for as long as you can, don't worry about taking too long. Hope it helped =)

  15. Well don't you have a little make up bag?  That would be ideal.  or better yet what about a little change purse, that would also work with todays pad....

  16. try this-

find a really cute purse that you like and then find a pouch an put several pads in it. try to buy the pads with small wrappers so it doesnt take that long. this is also a good thing

take your books for 2 classes then you can use one of the locker breaks to change your pad. so you dont have to get your books and you can use all 3 minutes. no change your pad around 12:45 or something dont leave it on to long.

  17. YAH

  18. Always carry a purse with you to every class and make sure you have at least two spare pads. I wouldn't recommend keeping one pad on for more that three hours. If someone sees you (a teacher), you should tell them why you are going to the bathroom. If most of your teachers are guys, make up an excuse to go to the nurse, ask her/him for a pad (they will have them) and go to the bathroom. Like I said, carry a spare on you, whether in your pocket or in a purse. It's useful, trust me. :)

  19. I didn't carry a pursue, but used to keep my pads in my lunch bag (brown paper hides anything, and if the outline is seen who's to say it isn't a pre-packaged food?). I know your lunch is early, but it would shorten the gap from recess to the end of the day.

Have you considered a Diva Cup? On an average day, you can use it for up to 12 hours at a time (then empty, clean, re-insert - before you go to school then after you get home in the privacy of your own bathroom). I do a lot of field work - climbing over fallen trees, across rivers, finding a bush when you need to pee, etc. - and it does wonders - on heavy days you can get away with a Diva Cup and a pad/panty liner.

You might want to also consider environmentally friendly cloth pads/liners (e.g. Goddess Moons or Luna Pads). They would be 'softer' to put in your pocket, and no plastic wrappers to stick out or make crunchly noises. You just rinse these out at the end of the day then launder them with your underwear.

The good news about the last two options: i) they're healthy for your body than most feminine products on the market (no plastics or chemicals); ii) they're also better for the environment (no plastics, chemicals or wastes); iii) you save a ton of money not having to buy new throw away products every month.

  20. i usually keep one in my pack sack. then if i need it i pretend to be looking for like a pencil or something and slip it in my sleeve. or ill put it in a pocket if its deep enough. Good luck! I understand how frustrating it is!

  21. purse is a good idea. or put it in your back pocket

if its not too big you wont even see it.

or sneak it into your jacket or something while the teachers talking and then ask to go to the bathroom or whatever.

you should be good. it wont be as bad as you think

    good luck =] =]
