  1. it is either the pump that is shot that pumps the gas around or there is a leak and your gas has ran out. if it is the gas you can get it re-gassed but first you'd have to find the leak, what ever the case you'd be better off buying another fridge money wise if it is an old one.

  2. Put all the stuff in a cooler

  3. get a new fridge duh!

  4. If its an old refrigerator then you would want to turn it off because there is a tube that sends water to the fridge and which cools the fridge.

Sometimes the water in that tube will freeze and your fridge wont get cooled.

So just turn off your fridge until the water in the tube melts, then turn it back on. Make sure that you leave your fridge off for at least six hours and have towels ready because the ice from the fridge will melt and leak.

  5. OKAY NOW  Anybody want to read a accurate response? How about 75% of all service calls on domestic reefers are DEFROST related!! OK?  There is a defrost timer that cuts off the compressor and energizes a defrost circuit, The defrost circuit goes to a heating element or elements ,There are  2 heat strips in side by sides . The defrost circuit has a defrost terminator switch that closes at 32 deg and opens around 60 deg. They are all a little different as to cut in & cut out temps from unit to unit ,However I usually replace all with one that I mentioned and never had a problem in 30 yrs! The defrost terminator will open at 70 degrees  saving the freezer from being a crock pot! if the defrost timer fails while in a defrost cycle! So as long as it opens at 50- 60- 70 etc, it is cool. If you notice the fridge ever cycling off? If so the timer is probably ok, Most defrost timers are located in the lower portion of reefer by the compressor within 2-3 ft. If not there many have it inside the box fridge side , you can only seeit or its acess hole by looking up to the reefer boxes interior ceiling,There will be a plate or cover with screws if there , A acess hole is to manually advance your timer into or out of a defrost cycle use a standard screwdriver turn clockwise very slowly it will click like asafecracker only louder as you advance timer the compressorwill stopif running  or start if not running. Ifit isnt running and advancing timer works  timer is bad , If it is running and advancing it shuts off compressor wait 15 mins and listen for ice melting sounds, dripping, sizzling, cracking etc, If the heaters are working the timer is bad , only 3-4 times have I found a bad defrost terminator, Ifthe condenser and evaporator fans run and coils are clean then timer or heater is almost always theculprit I charge 106.50per hour to do just this! Standard appliance has timers , As the terminators the timers are pretty much universal with durations being a little different ,I put one in all that runs 8 hrs then searches for defrost 30 mins  again noproblems!! You can manually advanceyourtimer to initiate defrost cycxle  or remove panel in freezer and defrost with blow dryer. It will get youby. All therefrigerating effect is from thefreezer thefridge gets air that migrates through a flapper door attachedto the dialthat is not in control of compressor. VERY often people will peg the thermostat and set the other controller to coldest as well!!! This creates many calls for no reason as the max cold settings on the dial that does not cut off compressor is for colder freezer.... It shuts off most of theair to the fridge compartment!! Typically You will have a freezer that makes ice yet a warm fridge side, Thats why!!! A very common costly error!! and easy to make!!!

  6. one time, same thing happen to me.

turns out the tray on the bottom of my fridge was empty of liquid. the maintenance guy refill my tray with tap and it  start working again.

now this is just from observing, it might not even be tap water for all i know.

edited: sorry i meant drip tray on the bottom of fridge might need to be empty.

  7. buy a big bag of ice and put it in the fridge and keep it full of ice until it is fixed or you get a different fridge

you might try cleaning all the dust off the cooling coils
