  1. A diploma is a decorative certificate.  It signifies that you completed a program.  Whether it is issued by a public, private or homeschool does not matter-it is still a mere decoration.  Much more important are your SAT/ACT scores and transcripts-that is what colleges want to see, not a diploma.

When you apply for a job, it will ask if you completed high school-they will not ask to see the diploma (in most fields).  It makes no difference who issued the diploma, just that you completed an educational program.  Again, the diploma is just a decoration.

  2. Well, employers like to see that you are able to communicate with people.  However, I think schools especially secondary schools, should incorporate more independent learning and have more hybrid classes (on line and in class teaching).  I think this would motivate students more and students would be getting the balance that they need for university/college and the employment world.  Constant same old in class activities day in and day out are archaic. Why not have History, Geography, English, etc spend maybe two days in class and two days independent learning.  This can be at home or in ICT rooms/computer rooms.
