ok.... im doing a dbate on this tpic and need help in the questions`!

That hybrid cars should be given perks from the

government, such as: tax breaks, free parking, and being able to use the

carpool lane when carrying a single passenger

THE QUESTIONS ARE"

1. What benefits do hybrid vehicles offer to society? Why is fuel efficiency

important? How does it benefit the consumer? Society? Be sure to cite

references and statistics in your answers.

2. Why do some question the efficiency of hybrid vehicles? How, or in what

circumstances, could hybrids actually do more damage to the environment than

other vehicles?

3. What happened to the HOV lanes in Virginia in the DC area after hybrids were

allowed to use them? Why did Virginia change their carpool lane law?

4. Do hybrids really cost more than other cars in the long run? If hybrids cost more

than other cars, does it make more sense, or less sense, to reward those who

purchase them?

4.a) no because of how much money you save on gas

    b) more if you give them a ribbon or somthing, less is you give them a plaque or cash

  3. ask the president...yea thats all I can say lol

  4. But wait; I can make a hybrid car get almost 100mpg by converting it to a plug in hybrid.  And legally.

Now since most roads are paid for with gas taxes, don't I already get a big break by not buying much gas and avoiding the gas tax?

Actually HOV lanes should be allocated to anything that can get over ~44 mpg highway or the top 1% gas mileage in that location.

Using the term 'hybrid'  is over simplifying.  From mild hybrids to full, to plug-ins, they all have different pro's and cons, and cannot be debated as one type vehicle.

But good luck on and honesty and insightful debate.
