I just found a small blue egg in my backyard. I know it hasn't been there long but I'm not sure if it is alive or not. Should I just use flashlights to try to incubate the egg? The flashlights aren't giving off much heat. What is the temperature the egg should be kept at? Please Please Please help me!!!! IF you could give any tips at all or any websites I would be soo thankful.

  1. If by some miracle it did hatch you could never keep it fed.  They eat a phenomenal amount when they're brand new.

  2. Could well be that you've got the result of a Cuckoos visit. They kick out another birds egg and lay one of their own leaving the other bird to raise it. How lazy is that!

  3. While your heart is in the right place, there is nothing you can do at this point for the baby bird that may or may not be in there.

  4. You could sit on it and see what happens

  5. IF this egg has an embryo in it (not all do) it is almost certainly dead.

  6. take it to natures nursery in whithouse

  7. The best way to keep it warm is to put it into a frying pan with some butter. Turn up the heat to medium, and the egg will be done in five minutes.

    Glad I could help out.
