  1. Speaking from personal experience, trial and error, and weeks of experiments with SEVERAL HHO generators - I can answer YES, but with caution.

I spent weeks trying out different HHO gens (all from ebay) and each one works so much differently. The ones in PVC pipes usually output a decent amount of gas (depending directly upon what electrolyzer you use in the water) but their crude design does not allow you to see what's going on inside and you cannot tell if your mix is doing good or not.

Then there are the wire designs, which put out okay - but not the best.

I finally built one using the best qualities of different models all put together, and I output around 1.5-1.75 litres/minute - which is really good for the size of the generator and for the electrolyte I am using.

There are many factors involved in whether an HHO generator will work well or not. The major factors are:

    1. what are the electrodes made of, how well will they conduct electricity and how quickly will they corrode?

    2. What electrolyte mixture are you using in the water (electrolyte is required to make the water conduct electricity to split the hydrogen and oxygen)

    3. how much oxygen are you involving in the gas out to the engine?

    4. How many o2 sensors does your vehicle have and how will they react to the extra oxygen they will detect? (sometimes the o2 sensors will detect more oxygen and increase your fuel ratio to compensate for it - I personally have not had this problem, but have heard others record it)

Speaking from my personal experience with the generator I now use and build, I have literally TRIPLED my gas mileage.

At first, with a cheaply-built generator - I only got a 23% increase on MPG. But now with my new design, I have tripled my gas mileage.

So yes, it does work if you have the right Generator and if you know a little about the process.

  2. It's just a scam, I can show you the math if you wish, post an edit and I'll post it again.

Think of it this was if it was so easy and did so much you'd see them on car right now, and if you believe the big oil, big whatever has somehow kill this invention, why are there so many web sites up and working?

  3. So sick of people answering what they think, or just posting "scam" without trying it or even investigating. From what I've read so far it seems that it could work and if it does you will see increase in mpg but not huge gains like some of the websites claiming 150% increase in mpg.

If the HHO generator works there are a couple things you need to do. Your car will need to run leaner, either adjusting the carb and/or the O2 sensor.

The main concern is will in increase mpg without draining and destroying the battery? Will the alternator compensate for the electricity it takes to create the HHO gas? A friend of mine is going to try it out on an old car just for fun. Wish I had the answer but its a work in progress...

  4. I believe it's a scam.  Besides why would you want it?  Hydrogen is flammable. A gas leek -- Boom! your dead.

  5. Scam.

  6. This news report verify that the Hydro 4000 works:

  7. The generators work, they do produce HHO gas, which is two pieces hydrogen for every one piece of oxygen, which is ignited with in the engine.  This gas is obtained from electrolysis of water - (splitting it apart with electricity).  Right now, they're used to increase fuel economy, by drawing electricity from the car battery.  The battery gets electricity from the alternator which is driven by the engine.  The idea is that the wasted energy from the alternator is used to produce HHO gas, which can drive the engine.  The car battery can also be used as a power source, which can be charged before and after using the car.  People claim to get 10-15% better fuel efficency.

I made some electrolysis stuff, but just for fun.

  8. Yes, a motor can run on HHO,  there are also HHO cutting torches and such.  The problem is that, form all the research I have done is that it is not efficient enough.  The electricity you put into it ends up being more than can be replaced by the hydrogen.   The battery would die pretty soon and have to be recharged-ie plugged in to wall to get electricity from burning coal.  So, you still have a carbon foot print and in the long run, at least for now, an efficient gas motor is more efficient than HHO.

  9. No I do not have one,but I know it will take a lot of power to break the water into gas. If your car is burning gasoline and u put in hydrogen ,nothing will happen as there is no oxygen. To get complete combustion of the gasoline u would need about 17% increase in oxygen.
