Chillie's is a franchize that is very well known in America, it is like Nando's and its price range is fairly similar but it maybe a tiny bit higher. The food being served is halal, there is a wide range of dishes offered in the menu including steak as a specialty. I was wondering if Edgware Rd is a good site to locate the restaurant in, I am looking for an area where a lot of people visit, an area that youngsters and families enjoy visiting in London. Where do you go for a night out? Which places do you visit to eat food? Your response will be greatly helpful, Thank you.

  1. Hi Zara,

Edgware Road is fine but not as a congregating area more of a walk passed have you thought about Covent Garden nice catchment area during the day and even more so in the evening's.

    Regards....

  2. I would suggest Stratford. Good transport links, only Indian, one Chinese, Thai, Nandos and Caribbean restaurant. We could use more variety. We have the Olympics coming up too!!

Lots of apartments being built and occupied now.

  3. airport, good traffic

  4. I wouldn't eat Halal no matter where you put the restaurant, as I don't approve of way it's slaughtered. This is not a religious thing - I wouldn't eat kosher, or bog-standard veal. Or anything that had been boiled alive, like lobsters.

Not really the question, I suppose.... but as you're doing market research, every little helps.

  5. Come to Hampstead, I hate having to go all the way to Canary Wharf to get Chili's!

And, if you really are opening one maybe you should try spelling it correctly!!!!!!

  6. I like King's Road Chelsea or Piccadilly area. I don't like Edgware Road is not very nice.

  7. if it's halal it will do very well in the edgeware road / baker street type of area, because of the way it's made it won't be popular in other areas.

  8. Egeware road is ok, there are a lot of drunks in that area later on in the night especially after midnight, if you can get in the Kings Rd in Chelsea you will have a more upmarket clientell, another good area would be the soho area around Leicester Square, if you are after a busy lunchtime trade and early evening trade, i recomend Farendon st or fleet street or anywhere in the EC2 post code, this is where the money is for the bowler hat brigade

  9. I really don't think this is a good place to ask.

You need to do your research properly. You need the advice of professionals as you will need to put estimated turnover/footfall on your business plans.

London has 1000,s and 1000's of restaurants and a lot will depend on what other restaurants are near you and the rent and business rates you need to pay.

London is a huge capital city with nearly 8million people plus upwards of 25million tourists each year...you need to get it right if you want to make a profit and that what its all about at the end of the day.....however good luck

  10. I wouldn't open it on Edgeware Rd. There is a HUGE american population living south of london and in central london, so it'd be best to cater to them. I promise americans will flock to it if you put it near covent garden, picadilly circus or leicester square. There's one in canary warf that is far enough away from central already, so you'd be wise to open it more central than edgeware rd! (and in case you dont know, edgeware rd isn't filled with children, families dont visit it often, and there are a lot of ppl that greatly dislike americans and american ideas... but it's great for shisha :P )

  11. Oh my, I went to Chillies in America, LOVED the food. I'd say somewhere like Wimbledon, it's becoming very 'fashionable' recently. Or Putney, those sort of areas. Do you have any vacancies for chefs or waitresses? I'm savvy at both and I love the food, please message me if you do, and good luck =]
